Conference Materials for Saving Grace

Saving Grace is a Northwest Arkansas nonprofit dedicated to offering hope, stability, and transformation to young women who lack critical support systems. As part of an ongoing partnership with the organization, I helped refine their existing logo and elevate the broader visual identity to better reflect the impact of their work.

One of the latest applications of this refreshed brand was the organization’s annual Grace Collaborative conference.

 

The Challenge

Grace Collaborative is a three-day event designed to provide education, collaboration, and training for nonprofit leaders and organizations. Each year, the conference requires a cohesive set of materials that help guide attendees through the experience.

For this event, the organization wanted to move beyond generic branding and introduce a thematic concept that would unify the conference experience. The selected theme, “On The Journey,” needed to feel distinct and immersive while still aligning with Saving Grace’s existing brand guidelines.

The Approach

The design strategy focused on interpreting the idea of a journey in a way that felt both meaningful and visually engaging. Using Saving Grace’s established color palette and typography as the foundation, I introduced additional elements that evoked the feeling of travel and exploration.

Paper textures, passport-inspired stamp graphics, and polaroid-style imagery helped reinforce the narrative of progress and personal transformation. These visual details created a layered storytelling approach that connected naturally with the organization’s mission.

The printed program served as the centerpiece of the conference materials. To further support the theme, the cover was printed on kraft cardstock and bound with metal coil binding, giving the piece the tactile feel of a well-used field notebook. This design choice reinforced the journey concept while creating a memorable and functional item for attendees.

 

The Result

The conference materials helped transform the event into a cohesive, themed experience rather than a standard nonprofit conference. From the moment attendees received their programs, the visual language reinforced the “On The Journey” message and carried throughout the entire weekend.

By blending the established Saving Grace brand with thoughtfully designed thematic elements, the materials created an immersive environment that supported the conference’s mission of growth, learning, and shared progress among nonprofit leaders.
