The Honey House AirbnbMy family had the opportunity to renovate my grandparents’ home, originally built in the 1940s. The house had long been the center of family gatherings, and it was important that the renovation preserved its historic charm while making it welcoming and comfortable for overnight guests.
Because my grandparents were longtime beekeepers, their legacy inspired the visual direction for the home. Warm yellows, hexagon patterns, and cozy “grannie chic” elements subtly reinforce the theme throughout the space. The experience extends to guests as well—each visitor receives a small jar of honey as a tribute to the home’s history.
Today the house functions as both a guest retreat and a gathering place for our family, allowing us to honor my grandparents’ memory while continuing to share the home with others.
